Writing best man speech jokes is not easy; but it can be hilarious. When my brother got married, I was his best man. And oh, I really sweated over the best man speech because I wanted it to be something that would not only be memorable for everyone but something that will convey my deepest appreciation and gratitude towards my brother and my now-sister-in-law. When I wrote the best man speech, the tone is very serious and even melodramatic. When I inserted the best man jokes, the mood of the speech leveled-up a lot; thus making all the guests and most specially the couple very happy.

I’m more of a listener mainly because I get stage fright. That’s why I don’t really like talking in front of a large crowd. And then I start babbling. But even with this weakness of mine, I will happily practice and practice even in front of the mirror until I control my nerves for my best friend’s wedding. My oldest best friend, my partner in crime since preparatory school days is finally tying the knot. And I have the honor of standing beside him during his special day. All the things that I want to say to him will finally be said in front of so many guests, I just hope that the best man speech jokes would earn even chuckles from the audience.

One thing that truly scares me is talking in front of a large audience. I get stage fright so bad that I usually shake while standing. That’s why when my brother and my soon-to-be sister-in-law asked me to be their best man at their wedding; I was really hesitant at first to the point of pointing other people/men to be their best man. But after thinking about it, I’m glad that my brother didn’t accept my half-hearted plea. They even urged and encouraged me. In fact, my brother even told me that he can accept all the best man speech jokes as long as I say “yes.”

I’m a legendary best man! If there’s a male version of the “always a bridesmaid, never a bride” notion, I AM THAT PERSON! I’ve stood as best man to my three college best buds. I’ve been best man to my brothers’ weddings. And even act as one at my little sister’s wedding. This is very unusual since most men I know only stood as best man once or twice in their lives. But I’m not complaining at all, after all these people are my family and friends and I love them all to a fault. Besides, being best man always has perks, too. I am now known for my best man jokes. And this is not bad at all since I get to spend wonderful time with the lady guests after delivering my jokes.

Everyone, may I grab your attentions for a little while please. Tonight, I have to propose a toast for the delightful newlywed’s marriage as I am the best man. But before anything else, for the single ladies (wink) out there, I am _____ (name), a good friend of our groom. For those who would like my number, well, you can’t have it because my wife would kill me. (pause for a life)

Anyway, I’d like to appreciate first and foremost the stunning beauty of our bride that glows with love, which is why _____ (groom), you are so lucky to have found her first. (pause for a laugh) Also the bridesmaids and the maid of honor course, you all look great I may say, and I want to thank you all for helping our dearest bride in preparing for this big event. Also my deepest recognition to our lovely parents Mr. & Mrs. _____ and Mr. & Mrs. _____ for their ever-supportive presence in this joyous occasion.

I want to show you guys and gals something. (slideshow groom’s pictures). Can anyone see it? I just wanted to show how _____ (groom) has amazingly transformed as we were growing up – from being a nerd-looking guy in high school to a handsome public accountant; from a thin-as-a-stick guy to a hunk; and finally, from a retard to a kick-ass friend.

That would be enough, ____ (groom) is going to kill me already once I step out in this platform. But of course I’ll give a little bit of an explanation to those pictures, so please _____ (groom) extend your patience with me.

Back in 11^th grade, I used to think _____ (groom) is such a nerd. Had I known it was only his technique to avoid much temptation from girls so as to keep focused on studies, and become what he is today, I could have followed his steps. But I still appreciate it man, I get to have all the girls. (pause for a laugh). Then from a skinny guy to becoming a hunk, man, I can’t believe you had it in you! You had hidden it well. He sweated it out in the gym so he can impress our lovely bride _____ (bride), boy, you know you are so lucky to have her, (loud whisper) I don’t think you’ll be as lucky to have him _____ (bride). (pause for a laugh) But seriously, you both look good to be together, I know and I hope that your union will last a lifetime wonderfully. And of course, being such a good friend, well, isn’t it obvious yet? He surely knows how to be a friend because his attitude echoed back to him for having such a very great friend – of course, me, who else. =)

Just this morning, I was so nervous yet excited about an incident that showed my deepest brotherly love and affection I have for my best bud. I gave him and his lovely wife the coolest best man speech ever. I’m not bragging or anything, but my best man jokes were the bomb. The parents of my best bud’s wife were laughing so hard that I thought I needed to tone down the speech a bit. My best friend’s parents, on the other hand, were smiling and crying at the same time as I recounted many of our childhood crazy antics. The best man speech was so exquisitely delivered (as mentioned by the bride’s parents) that I was just so grateful that I was able to fulfill my duties with flying colors.

I’ve been up all night. I have to give a toast to my sister’s wedding tomorrow. And since, for the longest time, she’s only my family, writing a speech for her and her husband-to-be is not easy. For one, I don’t want to make her cry on her special day, even though the tears will be considered as “happy tears”, I’ll still feel sissy seeing them. So I decided to focus on my soon-to-be brother-in-law. I wrote a number of best man jokes to keep the spirit of my speech alive and fun.
